NHS East of England CAU project
NHS East of England has launched its 10 year clinical vision for Children’s services overseen by a Children’s Clinical Programme Board (CCPB).
ODS Ltd is supporting one of the CCPB’s work streams to develop workforce models for Children’s Assessment Units (CAU’s) across the region. The project will research current practice and engage clinicians in developing a final report on the findings including viable options for future models. The work will use the ODS population centric model for workforce planning.
The main stages of the project are:
1. Research and consultation
2. Gap analysis and development areas
3. Establishing options models
4. Testing
5. Write up.
The project has now been completed and the final documentation has been sent to NHS East of England. ODS completed a set of papers as part of the project, all will be made available for people to access. The papers are:
-
CAU Analytical framework from the research of CAUs by Dr Anna Coleman.
-
17 Population reports - one based on each acute trust based in the East of England by Denis Hall and Associates.
-
CAU Workforce model which includes the workforce model, the case for change and a decision support tool for local implementation by ODS Ltd.
