Donna co-founded ODS with Carol Brooks in 2006. Prior to this, Donna spent 20 years working within the public sector. This included senior management experience in local government, including financial, quality and performance functions, and five years experience as an academic at Manchester business School.

Donna’s work focuses on change and reform across the public sector. Donna is an energetic and enthusiastic facilitator – bringing constructive challenge and support to all her projects. She has particular expertise in the design and delivery of organisational development programmes including workforce planning, service commissioning and re-design. This work spans national and local delivery and includes working in politically sensitive, complex settings.

Donna works with boards and senior teams designing interventions to support changes in services, culture and leadership. Clients include the NHS, local government, the police and voluntary organisations. Donna also mentors small businesses.

Donna has led research and academic programmes, written for academic and practitioner journals and has spoken at national and European conferences. Donna spent 3 years as a non-executive director for the Centre for Public Services.

Donna and Carol were awarded the prestigious Manchester Evening News Young Business of the Year Award in November 2007.
