Heather Owen has a proven track record as a researcher in the NHS and academic healthcare environments.
Since 2001, she has worked as a project officer/researcher with the Open University at its Centre for Education in Medicine in Milton Keynes. In this role, Heather is responsible for all aspects of research projects including: literature reviews, recruiting study participants, administration of questionnaires, interviewing and data analysis.
Her impressive research experience to date includes a qualitative evaluation of medical professionalism on behalf of the Royal College of Physicians and a study into the costs of hospital inspection visits on behalf of the Department of Health.
Heather’s previous roles include: research associate at King’s College, London and research staff nurse at Central Middlesex Hospital. She has also worked as a medical secretary and a clinical coder.
